Pulmonary hypertension is a rare lung disorder in which the arteries that carry blood from the heart to the lungs become narrowed, making it difficult for blood to flow through the vessels. For a roadshow which raised awareness for the disease at various sport events, Optical Engineers commisioned us to program an interactive light installation to test a participants lung volume in a challenging way.
Participants had to blow into a handheld wireless spirometer. The custom-built software then analyzed the data received via Bluetooth and transferred the result onto LED strips.
